How To: Engaging in Warfare

From the moment I wake up until I fall asleep, I enter a battle. Am I armed with weapons and protected with armor? Every morning I have a choice to make: engage in warfare, or ignore it. To be honest, most days I don't realize the intensity of the battle. Some days I don't realize until I'm already in enemy territory.
I'm an intercessor. Every time I open my mouth and call down from heaven, I expect God to hear me. The truth is, I'm not jumping up and down and waving my arms to get God's attention. I already have it! He listens. He loves revealing Himself. He also loves sharing with me the things that are in His heart. There are people that need Him all over the world. The moment I call down heaven over a specific region or people group, I wage war with the enemy. As an intercessor, I must choose to arm myself everyday and be alert. As an intercessor, I must remember that even though I'm fighting for souls, I'm not fighting alone.
I invite you to fight with me and for me. Arise, take up your sword, and fight with eager expectation that God is going to show up strong and mighty.

  2. The Lord is SO doing something with His bride right now! This summer the Lord has really been highlighting spiritual warfare as well! Great post Megan, such a good reminder of the simple truth that God hears when we speak and we don't have to bargain for it.
